Eight applications were received for this year’s SfN’s Graduate Student Travel Awards, and two for the Post-doc Travel award.
The review and selection process has identified the following as nominees of the OMV chapter:
- Aminata Coulibaly (Graduate Student Award): Lab of Lori Isaacson, Miami University
- Brent Myers (Post-Doc Travel Award): Lab of Jim Herman, University of Cincinnati
Congratulations to the nominees on their achievements thus far, and congratulations to the mentors as well.
Each application was reviewed by 2 faculty members from institutions other than the applicant’s home institution. (Mentors were excluded from the evaluation process in the category that their student/post-doc applied). Reviewers scored the following attributes: scientific merit of abstract; academic accomplishments; research description; outreach activities: contributions to the chapter.
